  1. Perform welding and fabrication tasks to maintain and repair facilities and equipment at the Utah State Hospital.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any potential issues or hazards.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance problems, develop solutions, and implement repairs.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  6. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of welding supplies and equipment.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for welding and maintenance work.
  9. Assist in training and mentoring new maintenance team members.
  10. Communicate effectively with hospital staff and management regarding maintenance needs and updates.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to maintenance and welding work.
  12. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Maintenance: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Maintenance Work, With A Focus On Welding And Metal Fabrication. This Experience Should Include Troubleshooting, Repair, And Maintenance Of A Variety Of Equipment And Systems.

  • Welding And Fabrication Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Background In Welding And Metal Fabrication, Including The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Blueprints. Experience With Various Welding Techniques Such As Mig, Tig, And Stick Welding Is Also Required.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: As A Maintenance Specialist/Welder At The Utah State Hospital, It Is Essential To Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Procedures And Protocols. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Osha Regulations And Have Experience Working Safely In A Variety Of Environments.
