
Legislative Assistant

- Provide administrative and clerical support to legislators and legislative staff.
- Manage and maintain legislative schedules, including meetings, hearings, and appointments.
- Assist in drafting and proofreading legislative documents, including bills, resolutions, and amendments.
- Conduct research and gather information on legislative issues.
- Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders, including constituents, lobbyists, and government agencies.
- Prepare materials and presentations for legislative meetings and hearings.
- Monitor legislative activities and provide updates to legislators and staff.
- Manage and organize legislative documents and records.
- Assist in planning and organizing legislative events and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and effective legislative operations.
- Stay up-to-date on current legislative issues and processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to legislators, staff, and the general public.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
A Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field.
Proven Experience Working In A Legislative Or Government Setting.
Strong Research, Writing, And Analytical Skills.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Legislative Processes And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Effectively Represent The State's Interests.
