As a Technician I, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to the youth in our care.   1. Provide support and guidance to youth in the Decker Lake Youth Center.
  2. Create a welcoming and safe environment for all youth in our care.
  3. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards youth facing various challenges.
  4. Communicate effectively with youth, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  5. Assist in the implementation of programs and activities to promote personal growth and development.
  6. Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the facility.
  7. Handle administrative tasks such as record keeping and report writing.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for youth.
  9. Serve as a positive role model for youth and promote positive behavior and decision-making.
  10. Stay up-to-date on best practices and techniques in working with youth.
  11. Respond to crisis situations and implement appropriate interventions.
  12. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the values and mission of the Decker Lake Youth Center.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all youth, regardless of background or circumstances.
  15. Continuously assess and evaluate the needs and progress of youth to ensure they are receiving the best support and care.
  16. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the Decker Lake Youth Center.
  17. Collaborate with community resources and agencies to provide additional support for youth.
  18. Display a strong work ethic and commitment to the well-being and success of youth.
  19. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  20. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the services provided to youth at the Decker Lake Youth Center.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working With At-Risk Youth Or In A Similar Setting

  • Knowledge Of Juvenile Justice System And Laws

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Test

  • Strong Communication And Conflict Resolution Skills.
