- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all state buildings and facilities to ensure they meet safety and functionality standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management plan that includes regular inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Manage and coordinate facility repairs, renovations, and improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments and external contractors to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to budget.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Create and maintain a record of all facility maintenance and repair activities, including budget and expenses.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the proper use and maintenance of state facilities.
- Supervise and lead a team of facility maintenance staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Identify and address any potential risks or hazards within state facilities.
- Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in facility management.
- Serve as a point of contact for building occupants and address their concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of services and supplies.
- Attend and participate in meetings and committees related to facility management.
- Uphold the state's commitment to sustainability and implement eco-friendly practices in facility management.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Environmental Standards.
Experience With Budget Management, Procurement, And Contract Negotiation.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders.
