- Utilize resources to assist individuals in identifying and achieving their career goals.
- Stay up-to-date on current job market trends and career development strategies.
- Empathetically listen and understand the unique needs and challenges of individuals seeking employment.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective job search strategies.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on resume building, job search techniques, and interview skills.
- Evaluate and assess the skills and qualifications of job seekers to match them with suitable job opportunities.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Continuously seek out and establish relationships with employers to create job opportunities for clients.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of the Department of Workforce Services.
- Support and promote the mission and values of the State of Utah and the Department of Workforce Services.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Career Counseling, Job Coaching, Or Related Employment Services.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Employment Laws, Regulations, And Resources.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle A High Volume Of Clients And Caseload.
