- Foster partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, private companies, and community organizations, to advance energy development in the state.
- Lead and manage a team of energy professionals to achieve set goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the energy industry, and use this knowledge to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Advocate for Utah's energy resources and promote them to potential investors and partners.
- Collaborate with other state agencies and departments to ensure energy policies align with overall state goals and priorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at the local, state, and national levels.
- Analyze data and metrics to assess the impact of energy policies and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Communicate regularly with the public, media, and other stakeholders to promote transparency and education about energy development in Utah.
- Represent the Office of Energy Development at conferences, meetings, and other events to showcase Utah's energy potential and attract investment.
- Manage the budget and resources of the Office of Energy Development to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Collaborate with academic institutions and research organizations to support energy research and innovation in Utah.
- Serve as a liaison between the state government and the energy industry, advocating for the interests of both parties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with federal agencies and policymakers to influence energy policies at the national level.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the Office of Energy Development's strategies and processes to achieve maximum impact.
A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Energy Industry, With A Focus On Renewable Energy Development And Policy.
A Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Energy Regulations And Policies, Including Experience Working With Relevant Agencies And Stakeholders.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Managing Teams And Collaborating With Diverse Groups.
A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Energy Management, Environmental Science, Or Public Policy. A Master's Degree Is Preferred.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Successful Energy Development Strategies, Including Securing Funding And Managing Budgets.
