  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for land development projects across the state of Utah.
  2. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the land development department.

  4. Collaborate with various government agencies, stakeholders, and community members to ensure successful project outcomes.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, and other key partners in the land development industry.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to land development.
  7. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed development projects.
  8. Make recommendations on land use and zoning changes to support responsible and sustainable growth.
  9. Develop and manage department budgets and allocate resources appropriately.
  10. Evaluate and improve current land development processes and procedures.
  11. Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  12. Represent the state of Utah at public meetings, conferences, and other events related to land development.
  13. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve department operations.
  14. Ensure all land development projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  15. Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or Related Field.

  • At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Land Development, With A Proven Track Record Of Successful Projects.

  • Strong Understanding Of State And Local Regulations Related To Land Use, Zoning, And Development.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Budgeting And Project Management Principles, With The Ability To Oversee Large-Scale Development Projects.
