  1. Develop and implement land management plans for the conservation of natural resources in Utah.
  2. Collaborate with other agencies, stakeholders, and community members to promote sustainable growth and conservation practices.
  3. Conduct research and gather data on environmental issues and trends to inform conservation strategies and decision-making.
  4. Analyze and evaluate proposed development projects to determine potential impacts on natural resources and recommend appropriate conservation measures.
  5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members and stakeholders on conservation principles and practices.
  6. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of conservation initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to support conservation efforts in the state.
  8. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental conservation and land use planning.
  9. Manage and maintain databases and records related to conservation projects and activities.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate conservation goals, progress, and outcomes to various stakeholders and decision-makers.
  11. Develop and manage budgets for conservation projects and programs.
  12. Identify and pursue funding opportunities for conservation projects and initiatives.
  13. Represent the state in meetings, conferences, and public events related to conservation and environmental issues.
  14. Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in conservation and integrate them into departmental strategies and plans.
  15. Communicate and promote the importance of conservation and sustainable practices to the general public through outreach and education initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Conservation Planning Or Land Management.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Conservation And Land Use.

  • Experience With Gis Mapping And Data Analysis.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.
