Job Description

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop appropriate service plans.
  2. Provide direct services to families and individuals, including counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
  3. Advocate for children and families within the child welfare system and collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure their needs are met.
  4. Monitor and evaluate progress of families and make necessary adjustments to service plans.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed case records and documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  6. Provide support and guidance to families in navigating resources and services to improve their overall well-being.
  7. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and develop effective strategies for intervention.
  8. Attend court hearings and provide testimony as needed to support the best interests of children and families.
  9. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide a wide range of services to clients.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of social work to ensure effective and ethical service delivery.
  11. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and their families.
  13. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the agency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Child Welfare Policies And Procedures, Including Dcfs Regulations And State Laws.

  • Experience Working With At-Risk Children And Families, Preferably In A Social Service Or Child Welfare Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Maintain Professional Boundaries With Clients And Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment And Make Critical Decisions In A Timely Manner.
