- Analyze and evaluate existing budget policies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of budget and policies with overall goals and values.
- Oversee and guide the state's budget development and implementation process.
- Monitor and track budget expenditures and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Stay informed of state and federal budget regulations and make adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential cost-saving measures and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of budget analysts to ensure high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
- Communicate budget updates and changes to relevant parties, including department heads and legislators.
- Work closely with government officials and policymakers to develop and advocate for budget and policy initiatives.
- Represent the state in budget and policy discussions with external stakeholders and organizations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve budget and policy processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other state agencies and departments to identify areas for budget and policy coordination and streamlining.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on budget and policy matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of budget and policy decisions and documents.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all budget and policy decisions and actions.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Public Policy, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Budget Management, Policy Analysis, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Budgeting Processes And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.
