Welcome to the State of Utah Liquor Store team! We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our dynamic and passionate group of individuals. As the Assistant Liquor Store Manager, you will be an integral part of our daily operations, providing support to the Store Manager and ensuring that our customers have an exceptional experience.   1. Assist the Store Manager in daily operations of the liquor store, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and customer service.
  2. Provide support to the Store Manager in managing and leading a team of employees to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
  3. Ensure that all employees are following company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
  4. Train and develop employees on proper alcohol sales techniques and responsible service practices.
  5. Assist in creating and implementing sales strategies to meet store goals and objectives.
  6. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving store performance.
  7. Collaborate with the Store Manager to maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing store layout.
  8. Address customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales, inventory, and employee schedules.
  11. Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees.
  12. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and promote responsible alcohol sales.
  13. Represent the store in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  14. Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and execute marketing and promotional strategies.
  15. Assist in managing the store budget and controlling expenses.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Liquor Store Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Liquor Laws And Regulations: The Assistant Liquor Store Manager Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Local Laws Governing The Sale Of Alcohol, As Well As The Ability To Enforce These Laws Within The Store.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: This Position Requires Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis, So The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Exceptional Customer Service And Resolving Any Customer Complaints Effectively.

  • Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: The Assistant Liquor Store Manager Will Be Responsible For Managing Inventory, Scheduling Staff, And Handling Administrative Tasks, So Strong Organizational And Multitasking Skills Are Essential.

  • Team Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing A Team Of Employees, Including Hiring, Training, And Supervising Staff. The Ability To Motivate And Lead A Team Towards Achieving Sales And Customer Service Goals Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
