
Assistant Attorney General - High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force

- Conduct thorough research and analysis of local, state, and federal laws related to drug trafficking and criminal activity.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to develop and implement strategies for combating drug trafficking in the designated High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to law enforcement personnel on search and seizure laws, investigative techniques, and other relevant legal matters.
- Prepare and present cases for criminal prosecution, including drafting legal documents, conducting witness interviews, and appearing in court.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current drug trafficking trends and stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Work closely with other members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force to coordinate efforts and share information.
- Conduct trainings and presentations for law enforcement personnel and community members on drug trafficking laws and strategies.
- Act as a liaison between the State of Utah and other agencies involved in drug trafficking prevention and enforcement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to drug trafficking and criminal activity.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Serve as a representative of the State of Utah and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force in various meetings and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Attorney General or other supervising attorneys.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Admission To Practice Law In The State Of Utah.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Criminal Prosecution Or Drug Enforcement.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Drug Laws, Regulations, And Procedures.
Strong Written And Oral Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Law Enforcement Agencies.
