- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on various types of aircraft.
- Perform repairs and replacements on aircraft components, including engines, landing gear, and electrical systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on aircraft.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules and address any issues.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in aircraft technology.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and guidelines.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete any necessary paperwork or documentation for maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate aircraft maintenance and repairs.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the State of Utah.
Faa Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Valid Faa Airframe And Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Competency In Aircraft Maintenance And Repair.
Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Aircraft Mechanic, Preferably In A Commercial Or Governmental Setting. This Experience Should Include Troubleshooting, Repair, And Maintenance Of Various Aircraft Systems.
Strong Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Aircraft Systems, Components, And Their Functions. They Should Also Be Proficient In Reading And Interpreting Technical Manuals, Blueprints, And Schematics.
Attention To Detail: Aircraft Mechanics Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Identify Potential Issues And Ensure That All Maintenance And Repairs Are Performed Accurately And Efficiently.
