Job Description

  1. Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients.
  2. Provide direct patient care, including conducting therapy sessions and monitoring progress.
  3. Assist with assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and goals.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
  7. Monitor and adjust therapy plans as needed based on patient progress and feedback.
  8. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and standards.
  9. Attend meetings and trainings to stay updated on new therapy techniques and protocols.
  10. Work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  11. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve upon therapy techniques and strategies.
  13. Support and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  15. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct.
  16. Participate in performance improvement activities.
  17. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  18. Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining supplies.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program: This Qualification Ensures That The Individual Has Received The Necessary Education And Training To Effectively Assist In Providing Occupational Therapy Services To Both Adult And Pediatric Populations.

  • State Licensure: The State Of Utah Requires All Occupational Therapy Assistants To Be Licensed In Order To Practice. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Requirements And Has The Appropriate Knowledge And Skills To Provide Quality Care.

  • Experience Working With Both Adult And Pediatric Populations: A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Both Adult And Pediatric Populations, As This Job Requires Providing Therapy Services To Individuals Of All Ages.

  • Knowledge Of Current Occupational Therapy Practices And Techniques: It Is Important For An Occupational Therapy Assistant To Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Practices And Techniques In The Field In Order To Provide Effective Treatment To Clients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Job Requires Working Closely With Clients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
