- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Implement system upgrades and updates as needed to keep the mainframe running efficiently.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and execute mainframe projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the mainframe system and its data.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform necessary maintenance tasks.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for the mainframe system.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management to provide updates on system performance and any potential issues.
- Analyze and improve system processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train and mentor junior mainframe systems programmers.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve any technical issues.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
At Least 7 Years Of Experience Working As A Mainframe Z/Os Systems Programmer In A Large-Scale Environment.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Ibm Z/Os Operating System, Including Installation, Customization, And Maintenance.
Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Cobol, Assembler, And Jcl, As Well As Experience With Job Scheduling And Automation Tools.
Strong Troubleshooting Skills And Ability To Diagnose And Resolve Complex System Issues.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
