Job Description

As a Residential Appraiser, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the value of residential properties across the state.   1. Conduct thorough and accurate evaluations of residential properties using industry-standard appraisal methods and techniques.
  2. Gather and analyze data such as property characteristics, market trends, and comparable sales to determine property value.
  3. Maintain a deep understanding of the real estate market and stay updated on changes and trends that may impact property values.
  4. Consult with property owners, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and address any concerns or questions related to the appraisal process.
  5. Prepare detailed and well-supported appraisal reports that comply with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  6. Utilize technology and software to assist in the appraisal process, including creating and maintaining digital records and reports.
  7. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all appraisals conducted, including property information, methodology used, and final value determination.
  8. Collaborate with other appraisers and team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in appraisal practices.
  9. Attend trainings and workshops to continuously improve knowledge and skills in the field of property appraisal.
  10. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job, including sensitive property information.
  11. Represent the State of Texas with professionalism, integrity, and respect while interacting with property owners and other stakeholders.
  12. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the appraisal process and make recommendations for enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  13. Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations related to property appraisal.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Real Estate, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Active License As A Certified Residential Appraiser In The State Of Texas.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Residential Real Estate Appraisal.

  • Excellent Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Guidelines Related To Real Estate Appraisal.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Evaluate And Determine Property Values.
