  1. Conduct thorough reviews of existing records management processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  2. Develop and maintain records classification systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  3. Monitor and enforce compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to records management.
  4. Provide expert guidance and support to state agencies on proper records management practices and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with agency staff to identify and address any records management issues or challenges.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure proper recordkeeping and retention, and make recommendations for corrective action when necessary.
  7. Train and educate agency staff on records management best practices.
  8. Create and maintain detailed documentation of records management processes and procedures.
  9. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to protect and preserve state records in the event of an emergency.
  10. Utilize electronic records management systems to organize, store, and retrieve records efficiently.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in records management technology and practices.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive records.
  13. Act as a liaison between state agencies and the State Archives to ensure proper transfer of permanent records.
  14. Monitor and track records inventory to ensure accurate and timely disposal of records in accordance with records retention schedules.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies for improving overall records management processes and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Records Management Or Archival Work.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Records Management Systems And Experience With Database Management.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Records Retention And Confidentiality.

  • Strong Analytical And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Tasks.
