Job Description

  1. Maintain and manage the State of Texas' Microsoft systems, including servers, applications, and databases.
  2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal disruptions.
  3. Implement upgrades and updates to systems and software, following best practices and adhering to security protocols.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute system maintenance and upgrades, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  5. Provide technical support to staff members, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and providing training and guidance on system usage.
  6. Conduct regular audits and security checks to ensure the integrity and security of the systems.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  8. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failures.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and trends, and make recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  11. Adhere to all company and industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and protecting against potential security threats.
  12. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the integration and compatibility of Microsoft systems with other technology platforms and applications.
  13. Continuously monitor and assess system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  14. Provide support and guidance during system upgrades and migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to operations.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft systems, providing guidance and support to other team members and departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working With Microsoft Operating Systems And Server Technologies.

  • Proficiency In Managing And Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, And Office 365.

  • Strong Understanding Of Networking Principles And Experience With Network Infrastructure And Security.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues In A Timely Manner.
