  3. Conduct needs assessments and create personalized treatment plans for clients.
  4. Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community organizations to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  6. Conduct regular follow-up and check-ins with clients to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.
  7. Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance counseling skills and stay updated on best practices.
  8. Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
  10. Participate in outreach events, such as health fairs and community workshops, to promote mental health awareness and services.
  11. Stay informed about current mental health policies, laws, and regulations in the state of Texas.
  12. Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and collaborative environment.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing the organization in a positive light.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for clients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Counseling Or A Related Field: This Advanced Degree Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Counseling Theory And Techniques, As Well As A Dedication To The Field Of Mental Health.

  • Licensure As A Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc) Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw): These Licenses Are Required For Practicing As A Counselor In The State Of Texas And Ensure That The Individual Has Met Rigorous Education, Training, And Ethical Standards.

  • Experience In Providing Mental Health Services: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Providing Counseling Or Therapy Services, Preferably In A Community Or Outreach Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Mental Health Conditions And Treatment Approaches: A Strong Understanding Of Various Mental Health Disorders, Treatment Options, And Evidence-Based Practices Is Necessary To Effectively Support Clients.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Mental Health And Outreach Counselor Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Colleagues, And Community Partners. They Should Also Be Able To Build Rapport And Establish Trust With Clients From Diverse Backgrounds.
