- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple laboratory buildings, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.
- Manage a team of skilled professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality work and a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address any facility-related issues or needs.
- Monitor facility budgets and expenses, making strategic decisions to optimize resources and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to facility operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in facility management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Foster a customer-focused mindset within the team, ensuring the needs of laboratory staff and other stakeholders are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any potential disruptions to facility operations.
- Act as a liaison between the laboratory and external vendors or contractors for facility maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners to support the overall success of the laboratory.
- Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Facility Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Building Operations, Preferably In A Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge And Experience With State And Federal Regulations Related To Laboratory Safety, Environmental Health, And Building Codes.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Direct And Supervise A Team Of Building Operations Staff.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Scientists, Researchers, And Government Officials.
