Job Description

As an IT Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of technology controls and processes across the state government to protect against potential risks and vulnerabilities.   1. Conduct audits of information technology systems and processes to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
  2. Develop and implement audit procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of technology controls and processes.
  3. Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations related to IT security and privacy.
  4. Identify and assess potential risks to the state's IT infrastructure and make recommendations for mitigation.
  5. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Collaborate with IT professionals and other stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in information technology and security.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation of audit procedures, findings, and recommendations.
  9. Conduct regular reviews of IT policies and procedures to ensure they align with current regulations and best practices.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of IT training programs to promote security awareness and compliance.
  11. Provide guidance and support to other team members on IT audit processes and procedures.
  12. Participate in IT projects and initiatives to ensure security and compliance considerations are incorporated.
  13. Conduct investigations into potential security incidents or breaches and make recommendations for remediation.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
  15. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In It Audit, Compliance, Or Risk Management.

  • Knowledge Of It Security Best Practices And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Communicate Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
