- Ensure the accuracy and security of all health records for the state of Texas.
- Perform data entry and management tasks to maintain up-to-date and organized health information.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to obtain and verify patient information.
- Review and audit health records for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in health records.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to manage and maintain health information.

Certified Health Information Technician (Chit) Credential From The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima).
Associate's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Guidelines Related To Health Information Management, Including Hipaa.
Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems And Health Information Technology.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
