  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for the state of Texas.
  2. Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and agencies to gather financial information and ensure its accuracy.
  4. Monitor and track financial transactions to identify any discrepancies or errors.
  5. Communicate financial information to stakeholders and present reports and findings to senior management.
  6. Develop and maintain financial models to assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  7. Stay updated on relevant accounting and financial reporting standards and regulations.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting processes.
  9. Assist in the preparation of the state's annual budget and financial statements.
  10. Work closely with external auditors to provide necessary financial information and support.
  11. Train and mentor junior analysts in financial reporting procedures and best practices.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  13. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance department.
  14. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to financial reporting.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate financial processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.
