  1. Review and evaluate permit applications for compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
  2. Conduct site inspections and gather relevant data to determine potential environmental impacts.
  3. Communicate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to provide guidance and ensure compliance with permit requirements.
  4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of permit applications, approvals, and renewals.
  5. Stay updated on state and federal environmental laws and policies and provide recommendations for compliance.
  6. Collaborate with various departments and agencies to coordinate and streamline the permitting process.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize environmental impacts.
  8. Monitor and enforce compliance with permit conditions and take appropriate action if violations occur.
  9. Provide guidance and support to other staff members on environmental policies and regulations.
  10. Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to promote environmental awareness and compliance.
  11. Prepare reports and presentations on permit applications, approvals, and compliance for management and regulatory agencies.
  12. Respond to public inquiries and concerns regarding environmental permits and regulations.
  13. Prioritize and manage multiple permit applications and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
  14. Identify areas for improvement in the permitting process and provide recommendations for streamlining and enhancing efficiency.
  15. Uphold the mission and goals of the State of Texas in preserving and protecting the environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Permitting Or Regulatory Compliance.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Stakeholders And Regulatory Agencies.
