  1. Conduct thorough and accurate appraisals of commercial properties using accepted methods and techniques.
  2. Collect and analyze data on market trends, property sales, and income potential to determine property values.
  3. Utilize advanced technology and software to assist in appraisals and maintain accurate records.
  4. Communicate with property owners, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and answer questions related to property value and assessment.
  5. Proactively identify and investigate potential discrepancies or errors in property records and assessments.
  6. Keep up-to-date with changes in state and federal laws, regulations, and industry standards related to property appraisal.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to establish and maintain fair and equitable property taxation practices.
  8. Prepare and present clear and concise appraisal reports to stakeholders, including property owners and local authorities.
  9. Attend and participate in training and professional development opportunities to constantly improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Represent the State of Texas in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with the public and other agencies.
  11. Adhere to strict ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of all appraisal information.
  12. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of appraisal methods and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Assist in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines related to property appraisal.
  14. Serve as a resource and provide guidance to other team members on complex appraisal issues.
  15. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Real Estate, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • State Certification Or License As A Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Commercial Real Estate Appraisal.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards, Laws, And Regulations Related To Commercial Appraisal.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret And Analyze Complex Data.
