- Provide legal advice and guidance to state agencies on procurement and contracting matters.
- Draft and review contracts, bid documents, and other legal documents related to procurement and contracting.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support procurement and contracting decisions.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and state agencies to develop and implement procurement and contracting strategies.
- Represent the state in legal proceedings related to procurement and contracting.
- Monitor and evaluate procurement and contracting processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Develop and deliver training programs on procurement and contracting laws and regulations for state employees.
- Communicate and negotiate with vendors and contractors on behalf of the state.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in procurement and contracting laws and regulations and advise on potential impact to state operations.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Active License To Practice Law In The State Of Texas.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Procurement And Contracting Law.
Extensive Knowledge Of State And Federal Procurement Laws And Regulations, Including The Texas Government Code And The Federal Acquisition Regulation (Far).
Experience Drafting And Negotiating Complex Contracts And Agreements, Including Those Involving State Agencies And Contractors.
