  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the state agency, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to the citizens of Texas.
  2. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategies to drive efficiency and promote the success of the agency.
  3. Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and cohesive workforce.
  4. Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the agency's goals and objectives.
  6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to the agency's operations.
  7. Manage budget and resources effectively to ensure the agency's operations are cost-efficient and aligned with organizational goals.
  8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the agency's operations, encouraging employees to identify and implement process improvements.
  9. Represent the agency in meetings, conferences, and other settings to promote the agency's mission and objectives.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making and drive operational excellence.
  11. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and professionalism, promoting a positive work culture and upholding the agency's values.
  12. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including other state agencies, local governments, and community organizations, to enhance the agency's operations and services.
  13. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other materials related to the agency's operations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  14. Stay informed of relevant legislative updates and provide recommendations for operational changes in response to new laws and regulations.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information related to the agency's operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Management Role, Preferably In A Government Agency Or Large Organization.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations And Laws Related To Operations And Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities, With A Track Record Of Implementing Successful Operational Strategies.
