WILDLIFE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

1. Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all state and federal guidelines and regulations.
2. Maintain and repair equipment as needed to ensure proper functioning.
3. Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of natural areas, including but not limited to trails, roads, and wildlife habitats.
4. Assist with the management and control of invasive species to protect native wildlife.
5. Collaborate with other team members and state agencies to coordinate projects and tasks.
6. Conduct routine inspections and report any issues or concerns to superiors.
7. Ensure all equipment is properly stored and secured at the end of each work day.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating heavy equipment.
9. Continuously monitor and evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and techniques related to heavy equipment operation and wildlife conservation.
11. Foster a positive and professional relationship with coworkers, superiors, and the public.
12. Represent the State of Tennessee in a positive manner and promote the importance of wildlife conservation.
13. Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as required to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
