  4. Utilize investigative techniques and critical thinking skills to identify patterns and trends.
  5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including prison staff, inmates, and law enforcement agencies.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations and reports.
  7. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting the rights of all individuals involved.
  8. Collaborate with other investigators and law enforcement agencies as needed.
  9. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to corrections and investigations.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other departments and agencies as needed.
  11. Represent the TDOC in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures for conducting investigations.
  13. Maintain a high level of dedication and commitment to promoting safety and justice in our communities.
  14. Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents within correctional institutions.
  15. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and accountability within the TDOC.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Criminology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement, Corrections, Or Investigative Work.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Correctional Facilities And Investigations.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Gather And Evaluate Evidence And Conduct Thorough Interviews.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Prepare Detailed Reports And Testify In Court Proceedings.
