  1. Perform routine maintenance and repair of radio communications equipment for various state agencies.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with radio equipment and develop solutions for efficient and effective resolution.
  3. Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
  4. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure reliable and efficient communication services.
  5. Stay up-to-date with advancements in radio communication technology and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
  6. Provide technical support and training to state agency personnel on the proper use and maintenance of radio equipment.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance on equipment.
  8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  9. Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support for emergency situations.
  10. Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  11. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective equipment repairs and maintenance.
  12. Mentor and train junior technicians to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
  14. Adhere to state and federal regulations related to radio communications and maintain compliance at all times.
  15. Provide excellent customer service and strive to meet or exceed the expectations of state agency personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Radio Communications Technology, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Fcc Regulations And Guidelines For Radio Communications Equipment.

  • Experience With Troubleshooting And Maintaining Various Types Of Radio Equipment, Including Repeaters, Transceivers, And Antennas.

  • Strong Understanding Of Radio Frequency Propagation And Ability To Analyze And Interpret Radio Frequency Data.
