Job Description

  1. Conduct regular and thorough assessments of offenders to determine their risk level and develop appropriate supervision plans.
  2. Monitor and enforce compliance with court-ordered conditions and restrictions.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and activities related to offenders.
  4. Conduct home visits, employment checks, and drug screenings to ensure compliance and monitor progress.
  5. Provide guidance and support to offenders in their transition back into society, including referrals to community resources and programs.
  6. Collaborate with other agencies and community organizations to develop and implement plans for offender rehabilitation and reintegration.
  7. Prepare and present reports to the courts on the progress and compliance of offenders.
  8. Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support revocation proceedings when necessary.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when dealing with potentially volatile situations.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and maintain a high level of competency.
  11. Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  12. Serve as a role model and mentor for offenders, promoting positive behavior change and personal growth.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to the probation and parole system.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of the State of Tennessee's probation and parole department.
  15. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of supervision plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure the safety of the community and promote offender success.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Probation/Parole Supervision
