
PROBATION/PAROLE OFFICER 1

- Conduct regular meetings with assigned probation/parole clients to assess progress and provide guidance for successful reintegration into society.
- Develop and implement individualized case plans for each client, taking into consideration their specific needs and circumstances.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with court-ordered conditions, including drug testing, community service, and restitution payments.
- Collaborate with community resources and service providers to connect clients with necessary support and assistance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and any violations.
- Conduct home visits and employment checks to ensure clients are meeting their obligations and making positive strides towards rehabilitation.
- Communicate regularly with other criminal justice professionals, such as judges and attorneys, to provide updates on client progress and address any concerns.
- Identify and assess potential risks and threats to public safety and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need, including coordinating mental health services if necessary.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor clients' needs and progress, making adjustments to case plans and interventions as needed.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to clients, encouraging them to make positive changes and achieve their goals.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and techniques in the field of probation and parole.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to share knowledge and best practices for effective supervision and support of clients.
- Adhere to all state, federal, and departmental policies and procedures, as well as laws and regulations governing probation and parole.
Ability To Pass A Background Check And Maintain A Valid Driver's License.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Probation And Parole.
Experience Working With Offenders, Preferably In A Criminal Justice Or Corrections Setting.
