PROBATION/PAROLE OFFICER 1

1. Conduct regular meetings with assigned probation/parole clients to assess progress and provide guidance for successful reintegration into society.
2. Develop and implement individualized case plans for each client, taking into consideration their specific needs and circumstances.
3. Monitor and enforce compliance with court-ordered conditions, including drug testing, community service, and restitution payments.
4. Collaborate with community resources and service providers to connect clients with necessary support and assistance.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and any violations.
6. Conduct home visits and employment checks to ensure clients are meeting their obligations and making positive strides towards rehabilitation.
7. Communicate regularly with other criminal justice professionals, such as judges and attorneys, to provide updates on client progress and address any concerns.
8. Identify and assess potential risks and threats to public safety and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
9. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need, including coordinating mental health services if necessary.
10. Continuously evaluate and monitor clients' needs and progress, making adjustments to case plans and interventions as needed.
11. Serve as a positive role model and mentor to clients, encouraging them to make positive changes and achieve their goals.
12. Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
13. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and techniques in the field of probation and parole.
14. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to share knowledge and best practices for effective supervision and support of clients.
15. Adhere to all state, federal, and departmental policies and procedures, as well as laws and regulations governing probation and parole.
