  12. Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to workers' compensation.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the performance of duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Workers' Compensation: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Workers' Compensation Field, Including Knowledge Of State Regulations, Laws, And Processes.

  • Legal Background: A Juris Doctor Degree Or Equivalent Legal Experience Is Preferred, As The Workers' Compensation Board Deals With Complex Legal Issues And Makes Decisions Based On State Laws And Regulations.

  • Knowledge Of Administrative Law: Familiarity With Administrative Law And The Ability To Interpret And Apply State Regulations Is Essential For A Workers' Compensation Board Member.

  • Strong Communication And Conflict Resolution Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Injured Workers, Employers, Attorneys, And Other Board Members, Is Crucial For The Role. Conflict Resolution Skills Are Also Necessary For Handling Disputes And Making Decisions That Are Fair And Unbiased.

  • Analytical And Decision-Making Abilities: A Workers' Compensation Board Member Must Have Strong Analytical Skills To Review And Assess Complex Cases And Make Informed Decisions. This Includes The Ability To Consider Multiple Perspectives And Weigh Evidence To Reach Fair And Just Decisions.
