
Senior Accountant - Revenue Reporting

- Perform financial analysis and reporting of revenue data to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations and policies.
- Maintain and reconcile complex accounting records and transactions.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for various stakeholders, including state agencies, legislators, and the public.
- Review and analyze revenue data to identify any discrepancies or errors and take corrective action as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to gather and analyze financial information for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of revenue reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue reporting and provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in state laws and regulations related to revenue reporting and ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial information and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Participate in audits and provide documentation and support as needed.
- Contribute to the overall financial health of the state by identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on industry best practices and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field
Cpa Certification Or Equivalent Professional Accounting Designation
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Revenue Reporting, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting
Strong Understanding Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Governmental Accounting Standards Board (Gasb) Regulations
Proficient In Financial Reporting Software And Microsoft Excel, With The Ability To Analyze And Manipulate Large Data Sets Accurately And Efficiently
