Seasonal Park Ranger Assistant

1. Assist the Park Ranger in maintaining and preserving the natural resources and recreational facilities within the state parks system.
2. Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, including answering questions, providing information, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
3. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, including cleaning, restocking, and repairing as needed.
4. Monitor park activities and enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety of visitors and protection of natural resources.
5. Conduct patrols and assist with emergency response as needed.
6. Assist with educational programs and events to promote conservation and environmental awareness.
7. Help with the coordination and implementation of park improvement projects.
8. Maintain accurate records and reports related to park operations and activities.
9. Communicate effectively with park visitors, coworkers, and superiors to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
10. Continuously learn and update knowledge on park policies, procedures, and natural resources to provide accurate information to visitors.
11. Attend trainings and meetings as required by the Parks and Recreation department.
12. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
13. Serve as a positive role model for visitors and coworkers, promoting responsible and sustainable use of natural resources.
14. Assist with the recruitment and training of volunteers to support park operations.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Park Ranger or supervisor.
