
Seasonal Park Ranger Assistant

- Assist the Park Ranger in maintaining and preserving the natural resources and recreational facilities within the state parks system.
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, including answering questions, providing information, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, including cleaning, restocking, and repairing as needed.
- Monitor park activities and enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety of visitors and protection of natural resources.
- Conduct patrols and assist with emergency response as needed.
- Assist with educational programs and events to promote conservation and environmental awareness.
- Help with the coordination and implementation of park improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to park operations and activities.
- Communicate effectively with park visitors, coworkers, and superiors to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Continuously learn and update knowledge on park policies, procedures, and natural resources to provide accurate information to visitors.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required by the Parks and Recreation department.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Serve as a positive role model for visitors and coworkers, promoting responsible and sustainable use of natural resources.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of volunteers to support park operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Park Ranger or supervisor.
