Seasonal Park Ranger Assistant

1. Assist park rangers in daily operations and maintenance tasks, such as trail maintenance, visitor services, and resource management.
2. Greet and welcome visitors to the park, providing them with information about park rules, regulations, and facilities.
3. Educate visitors on the importance of conservation and responsible recreation in the park.
4. Monitor and patrol the park to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and the protection of park resources.
5. Participate in interpretive programs and activities, including guided hikes, campfire programs, and nature walks.
6. Work collaboratively with other park staff and volunteers to complete assigned projects and tasks.
7. Assist with emergency response and first aid as needed.
8. Maintain accurate records and reports related to park operations and visitor interactions.
9. Proactively identify and report any maintenance or safety issues within the park.
10. Continuously learn and develop knowledge of local flora, fauna, and natural resources in order to provide accurate and informative interpretation to visitors.
11. Foster positive relationships with visitors, colleagues, and stakeholders to enhance the overall park experience.
12. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the park and its values.
13. Adhere to all park policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
14. Attend training and development opportunities as required.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by park management.
