Job Description

Do you have experience in governance policy and a strong understanding of REALD (Race, Ethnicity, Ability, Language, and Diversity) and SOGI (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity) issues? The State of Oregon is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a REALD & SOGI Repository and Registry Governance Policy Advisor. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to develop and implement policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our state's government.   1. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the state government.
  2. Conduct research and analyze data to inform policy decisions related to REALD and SOGI issues.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and ensure policies align with state and federal laws and regulations.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Serve as a subject matter expert on REALD and SOGI issues, providing guidance and support to colleagues and government officials.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion in order to inform policy development.
  7. Develop and facilitate trainings and workshops to educate staff on REALD and SOGI issues and promote a more inclusive workplace.
  8. Communicate with community leaders and advocacy groups to gather feedback and incorporate diverse perspectives into policy development.
  9. Collaborate with other government agencies and departments to ensure consistency and alignment of policies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  10. Monitor and track progress towards diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and report findings to senior leadership.
  11. Maintain a repository and registry of REALD and SOGI policies and initiatives within the state government.
  12. Serve as a liaison between the state government and external organizations and agencies focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  13. Uphold a commitment to promoting and fostering an inclusive and equitable society for all individuals.
  14. Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of policy development and implementation.

Job Qualifications
  • Expertise In Reald & Sogi Policies And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Reald & Sogi Policies And Regulations At The State And Federal Level. They Should Be Able To Provide Guidance On Policy Development And Implementation Related To Reald & Sogi Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Repository And Registry Governance: The Candidate Should Have A Comprehensive Knowledge Of Repository And Registry Governance Frameworks And Best Practices. This Includes Understanding Data Management, Data Privacy, And Data Security Protocols.

  • Experience In Policy Development And Implementation: The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Developing And Implementing Policies Related To Repository And Registry Governance. This Includes Conducting Research, Drafting Policy Documents, And Collaborating With Stakeholders To Ensure Effective Policy Implementation.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Engage With Stakeholders At All Levels. This Includes The Ability To Present Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner And Facilitate Discussions Among Diverse Groups.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify Potential Issues And Develop Solutions Related To Reald & Sogi Repository And Registry Governance. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Make Data-Driven Recommendations For Policy Development.
