
Policy And Budget Analyst
The State of Oregon is looking for a motivated and passionate Policy and Budget Analyst to join our team. As a Policy and Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of state policies and budgets. You will use your knowledge of budgeting and policy to help drive our state towards success. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Master's degree in public policy, public administration, or a related field, as well as a minimum of three years of experience in policy or budget analysis. You should also have an in-depth understanding of the budgeting process and the ability to interpret and analyze complex data. Furthermore, you should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of state policies and budgets.
- Analyze complex data and interpret its meaning to inform budgeting decisions.
- Work collaboratively and independently to develop and implement budgeting solutions.
- Keep up to date with state and local policies and regulations related to budgeting and policy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with other departments.
- Prepare and present budgeting and policy reports for stakeholders.
- Stay informed of local, state, and federal budgeting laws and regulations.
- Monitor and assess the impact of budgeting decisions and recommend changes as needed.
- Identify areas of potential cost savings and suggest cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders on budgeting and policy issues.
