- Maintain and enhance the natural and cultural resources of Oregon's parks.
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of park visitors and resources.
- Educate visitors on park rules and regulations, as well as the importance of preserving and protecting natural resources.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors, including answering questions, giving directions, and assisting with park activities and events.
- Conduct routine maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, such as restrooms, trails, and campgrounds.
- Perform daily tasks, such as collecting fees, issuing permits, and completing reports.
- Collaborate with park staff and other agencies to plan and implement programs and events.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid, if necessary.
- Assist in the enforcement of park rules and regulations, including issuing citations and handling difficult situations.
- Serve as a positive role model for park visitors by promoting responsible and ethical use of park resources.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Keep up-to-date on park policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct research and assist with resource management projects as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other park rangers and staff to ensure efficient and effective park operations.
- Continuously strive to improve park operations and visitor experiences.
- Exemplify a strong work ethic and positive attitude while completing assigned tasks.
- Represent the state of Oregon and its park system in a professional and respectful manner.

Bachelor's Degree In Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Diverse Groups Of People.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Park Management, Outdoor Recreation, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Local Flora And Fauna, As Well As Conservation And Land Management Principles.
Physical Fitness And Ability To Work In Various Weather Conditions, As Well As Knowledge Of Basic First Aid And Emergency Response Protocols.
