Job Description

The State of Oregon is looking for an experienced Mental Health Security Technician to join our team and help protect the safety and well-being of our clients. We are seeking an individual who is professional, reliable and committed to providing top-notch security services. The successful candidate will possess strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as an understanding of the laws and regulations pertaining to mental health security. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, preferably supplemented with additional training related to security operations. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain secure environments for mental health clients
  • Respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular security checks to ensure safety and well-being
  • Investigate and document incidents of security violations
  • Train and supervise security staff
  • Provide customer service and support to clients
  • Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to mental health security
  • Develop and implement security protocols
  • Prepare incident reports and other related documents
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as needed
