
Legislative Revenue Economist

If so, the Oregon Department of Revenue is looking for a Legislative Revenue Economist to join our team!As the Legislative Revenue Economist, you will provide the Oregon Legislature and other stakeholders with economic and revenue analysis in support of the revenue forecasting and fiscal impact processes. You will be an integral part of the Revenue Forecasting team, providing the Legislature and other stakeholders with timely and accurate economic and revenue forecasts.You will need to have a strong economic background, with a minimum of a Master’s degree in Economics or a related field, and at least two years of experience in applied economics and revenue forecasting. You should be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.If you have a passion for public policy and an eye for data, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities for this role include:
- Developing economic and revenue forecasts to inform the Oregon Legislature and other stakeholders
- Analyzing the fiscal impact of proposed legislation
- Collaborating with the Revenue Forecasting team on data-driven projects
- Preparing reports and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of economic and fiscal trends
- Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Providing timely advice to the Legislature and other stakeholders on economic and revenue issues
