
Intake Investigative Officer

- Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of reports and allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Gather and analyze information and evidence to determine the validity of the reported incidents.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all investigations and findings.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to gather additional information and coordinate investigations.
- Conduct interviews with alleged victims, witnesses, and perpetrators to obtain relevant information.
- Evaluate the safety and well-being of individuals involved in reported incidents and make appropriate recommendations for intervention.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals and their families, as well as with colleagues and other agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to the investigation and reporting of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field.
- Adhere to timelines and deadlines for completing investigations and submitting reports.
- Identify and report any potential systemic issues or concerns regarding the welfare of individuals in the community.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies and protocols to improve the intake and investigative process.
- Serve as a liaison between the agency and community partners, providing information and resources related to our services and programs.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and cultural competency when working with diverse populations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
- Uphold the values and mission of the agency in all job duties and interactions.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Conducting Intake Investigations, Preferably In A Government Or Law Enforcement Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Intake Investigations And Child Welfare.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Diverse Populations And Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software, Including Databases And Case Management Systems.
