  1. Develop and analyze policies that promote economic growth and investment in the state of Oregon.
  2. Conduct research and gather data to inform policy decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and community members, to gather input and ensure policies align with the needs of the state.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and make recommendations for updates or changes.
  5. Stay current on economic and fiscal trends, both nationally and within the state, and apply this knowledge to policy development.
  6. Prepare and present reports and presentations on policy proposals and their potential impact.
  7. Work closely with other policy analysts and departments to ensure policies are coordinated and aligned with overall state goals.
  8. Communicate policy changes and updates to relevant parties and provide support for implementation.
  9. Identify potential barriers to policy implementation and develop strategies to overcome them.
  10. Stay updated on relevant state and federal regulations and ensure policies comply with all applicable laws.
  11. Continuously seek ways to improve policies and processes to drive meaningful change and positive outcomes.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized records of policy development and implementation.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and agencies on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  14. Represent the state of Oregon at conferences, events, and meetings related to economic and fiscal policies.
  15. Mentor and train junior policy analysts and provide guidance on policy development best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Policy, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Policy Analysis Or Program Evaluation.

  • Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Incentive Programs And Regulations.

  • Experience Working With Diverse Stakeholders And Conducting Outreach And Engagement.

  • Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Translate Complex Data Into Actionable Recommendations.
