Job Description

Welcome to the State of Oregon! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team and help us achieve our mission of providing exceptional services to the citizens of Oregon. As a Human Resources Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of our HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and benefits administration. We are looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about employee engagement and is dedicated to promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.   1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee the recruitment process, including creating job postings, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews.
  3. Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  4. Manage employee relations, including handling employee complaints, conducting investigations, and providing guidance to managers.
  5. Develop and implement training and development programs to support employee growth and retention.
  6. Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality.
  8. Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external HR vendors, including benefits providers and recruitment agencies.
  10. Collaborate with department managers to address staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
  11. Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  12. Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
  13. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management and make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Represent the organization in meetings and negotiations with labor unions.
  15. Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  16. Prepare and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  17. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the organization's mission and goals.
  18. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Human Resources Management, Including Experience In A Leadership Role.

  • Certified Professional In Human Resources (Phr) Or Senior Professional In Human Resources (Sphr) Certification Preferred.

  • Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Employment Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Conflict Resolution Skills.
