Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Group Life Coordinator 2 Pool at the Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility with the State of Oregon.As a Group Life Coordinator 2, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the youth in our care. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement programming that supports positive behavior change and promotes successful reintegration into the community.We are looking for a candidate who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is able to build strong relationships with both youth and staff. A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required, as well as at least two years of experience working with at-risk youth.   1. Develop and implement programming that promotes positive behavior change and supports successful reintegration into the community for at-risk youth.
  2. Collaborate with a team of professionals to assess the needs of youth and create individualized treatment plans.
  3. Monitor and document the progress and behavior of youth in the program.
  4. Communicate effectively with youth, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely records of all program activities and youth progress.
  6. Facilitate group therapy sessions and lead educational workshops on topics related to social and emotional well-being.
  7. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  8. Work closely with community partners to coordinate services and resources for youth.
  9. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth, promoting positive values and behaviors.
  10. Stay current on best practices and research in the field of at-risk youth and incorporate them into programming.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and policies regarding the care and treatment of youth.
  12. Attend trainings and meetings as required to maintain professional development.
  13. Support and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the facility.
  14. Ensure the safety and security of both youth and staff at all times.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to youth and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience Working With At-Risk Youth In A Residential Or Correctional Setting.
