Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Facility Energy Technician to join the State of Oregon's Energy and Sustainability Department. The Facility Energy Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the state's energy systems and facilities. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of energy systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented and has the capacity to work with a team to meet the State of Oregon's energy efficiency goals. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain the state's energy systems and facilities to ensure efficient operation.
  2. Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies and initiatives to meet the State of Oregon's energy efficiency goals.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address energy issues and opportunities.
  4. Manage multiple energy projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
  5. Track and monitor energy usage, costs, and other related metrics.
  6. Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Energy and Sustainability Department.
  8. Develop and implement energy conservation and efficiency programs.
  9. Research energy technologies and best practices to identify potential energy savings opportunities.
  10. Monitor energy compliance regulations and ensure the State of Oregon is in compliance.
