Job Description

The State of Oregon is looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Environmental Program Coordinator to support the mission of protecting, preserving, and enhancing Oregon’s natural resources. This position is responsible for managing and implementing environmental programs and initiatives, and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will have an advanced knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and policies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement environmental programs and initiatives that align with the mission of protecting, preserving, and enhancing Oregon’s natural resources.
  2. Monitor and evaluate environmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  3. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively to address environmental issues.
  4. Prepare and submit timely reports on environmental programs and initiatives.
  5. Provide technical advice, guidance, and support to partners and stakeholders on environmental issues.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to engage the public and stakeholders in environmental initiatives.
  7. Serve as a representative for the state on environmental issues at meetings, conferences, and other events.
  8. Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders, partners, and members of the public.
  9. Keep abreast of emerging environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
  10. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications
