- Develop and implement strategies to improve and maintain air quality standards across the state.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential sources of air pollution and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with government agencies, industry partners, and community stakeholders to create and implement effective air quality programs and policies.
- Monitor and evaluate current air quality data to identify trends and areas of concern, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members, as well as external stakeholders, on air quality issues and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in environmental engineering and air quality standards, and incorporate them into our programs and policies.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with air quality regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate with the public and educate them about the importance of clean air and the role of the state in protecting it.
- Prepare reports and presentations on air quality data, initiatives, and progress to be shared with government officials and the public.
- Collaborate with other state agencies and departments to integrate air quality considerations into various projects and initiatives.
- Represent the state at conferences, meetings, and events related to air quality and environmental engineering.
- Uphold a commitment to sustainability and finding innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
- Serve as a key point of contact for any air quality related inquiries or concerns from the public, industry, and other stakeholders.
- Lead and manage projects related to air quality, including budgeting, planning, and overseeing team members.
- Uphold and promote the state's mission and values of creating a greener, healthier future for Oregon.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Air Quality Monitoring, Assessment, And Mitigation.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Air Quality Regulations And Standards.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of Oregon Or Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Hire.
Experience With Air Quality Modeling Software And Data Analysis Tools.
