  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to manage and protect the state's lands and natural resources.
  2. Oversee all operations and programs of the agency, ensuring they align with the agency's mission and goals.
  3. Lead a team of professionals and provide guidance and support to promote a collaborative and positive work environment.
  4. Foster partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and private businesses, to advance the agency's objectives.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to land and resource management.

  7. Communicate effectively with the public, media, and other stakeholders to promote transparency and understanding of the agency's work.
  8. Stay current on emerging trends, research, and best practices in natural resource management to inform decision-making and improve agency performance.
  9. Represent the agency and advocate for its interests at state and national levels.
  10. Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the agency, promoting fair treatment and opportunities for all employees.
  11. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the agency's processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Prepare and present reports, updates, and recommendations to the Governor, state legislature, and other stakeholders.
  14. Serve as a role model and mentor for employees, promoting professional development and growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Public Administration, Environmental Science, Or Natural Resource Management.

  • At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Government Agency, Preferably In The Field Of Land Management Or Natural Resources.

  • Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Land Management, Including Environmental Protection, Land Use Planning, And Public Lands Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Stakeholders Including Government Officials, Community Groups, And Private Landowners.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Budget Management, Strategic Planning, And Policy Development, With A Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Large-Scale Projects And Initiatives.
