
Data Systems and Performance Data Analyst
The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking an experienced Data Systems and Performance Data Analyst to join our team and help us drive our data-based decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is passionate about using data to improve performance and inform policy decisions. This individual will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including our executive leadership team, to build a culture of data-driven decision-making.To be successful in this role, you should have an understanding of data systems and performance metrics, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for leveraging data to inform decisions and achieve meaningful results.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., data science, business intelligence, computer science, information systems, analytics, or a related field)• At least three years of experience in data systems and performance analysis• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and business intelligence tools• Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets to draw meaningful conclusions• Demonstrated experience in project management and problem solving• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders from various departments• Experience in developing and implementing data-driven solutions• Knowledge of visualizations, dashboards, and other data presentation techniques
Responsibilities:
- Develop data systems and performance analysis strategies to inform decision making and policy decisions.
- Analyze and interpret large data sets to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Create visualizations, dashboards, and other data presentation techniques.
- Develop and maintain project plans and timelines to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders from various departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Collect and analyze data to inform strategies and policy decisions.
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues.
- Develop documentation to communicate data systems and analysis approaches.
